Summary Please

Dear to all,

I notice, that the number of respondents is quite low , I wonder if the number represent the whole, because the web is a powerful tool to connect people... the survey has a lot of stuff,

maybe to some is not appealing..just a though,

The coordinator should summarize the result including conclusion, and recommendation. ..so that it will be very easy to respond from readers who would like to give their opinion.

Personal Comments on the Results of the Survey

17. The respondents were asked why they are not giving to the Navs or if they are, what would be some possible reasons for stopping to give now.

Eighteen out of 28 responded, of course, we can not assume that all these 18 are not giving to the Navs.

Here are their answers:
a. Forty four (44%)are not giving because they have other priority. It could be that they are already committed to other Christian Work.

The next top reasons with the same score (44%)are:
b. They feel that they are not connected to any Navwork.
c. They are not informed of the needs of the staff.
d. They only give to those who minister to them and Navs is no longer ministering to them.

Next on the line have again the same score of 16.7% are:
a. They have doctrinal problem with the Navs, yes I think its amazing that the Navs can tolerate a little or some deviation on the doctrines. Before this discussion we were discussing about Lordship of Christ and it amazed me that suddenly there are some or a little deviation on the understanding of the Lordship especially in relation to salvation. Another attempt was the realignment that Danny has started in Baguio, an attempt to define some terms that we used in the Navs. Now is this necessary? or shall we just leave it that way?

b. Some respondents do not want the way Navs handle financial system.

c. Some look at the lifestyle of the staff and they don't like it
and you can look at the rest of the reasons on the left side.

One good reason to rejoice is that, the respondents do not give to the Navs or will stop giving because they feel that Navwork is less relevant now, and they do not even buy the idea of the ratio of money to number of souls or laborers produced. They do not also feel that what the Navs want is only their money.

Although one of the alumni, has a different idea about this survey and different thoughts about these reasons, but I think if we desire partnership then this should not be brushed aside.

18. Here is another section where we will know the hearts of the respondents why they give to the Navs. Thankfully, it seems that 24 out of the 28 respondents are giving to the Navs in one way or another.

75% of the respondents felt they are led by God to give to the Navs. This gives us assurance that God is raising people to financially support the Navs.

66% gave because they are Navigators

about 60% gave because they still believed on what the Navs is doing and considered Navs as their family.

Some gave because they have relationship with the staff (42%).
Some also said that they are grateful to the organization(50%).

Putting this together, we can paint the partnership that our alumni want to have.

19. Majority of them (65.2%) gave or plan to give on a regular basis and some (56.5%) want to give on need basis.

52.5% of the respondents prefer to give to the staff having personal relationship with them. This is very Filipino, is this wrong? We say that giving is a result of our relationship with God and that we give only to God but we also know that God loves our culture. In fact, all culture will be represented in heaven someday.

20. This last one is something that we in Navs should also take into consideration. According to the respondents, as donors:

a. They want to be treated as partners not only because they are giving financially. (70%)

b. They will be informed of what is happening especially on the area where their support goes (62.5%).

c. They would like to be personal and intimate where they can also share their lives, concerns and joys. They want to know what is in the mind of the NLT and that the Navs will be transparent on its finances. They desire too that giving should be taught in the campus level(45.8%)

d. How they wished that there wouldbe a department who will do some kind of donor's maintenance and be given freedom to express their opinion (33.3%)

e. Some desired that they would be informed of the need. They wished too that all Navigators will give portion of their giving to the Navs.

Well, what I have done is not really an analysis but rather just a repetition of what was expressed to give emphasis.
